Engaging Local Schools with GMI's Sustainability Programme
To kick start the new year and GMI's sustainability drive in 2012, an exciting competition has been launched with three schools in the Yorkshire region.
Following on from last year's successful community engagement, we are looking to maintain our good relationships and educational partnerships with the launch of a school competition. We are asking three classes of school children; one each from Todwick Primary based in Rotherham, Spring Bank Primary based in Headingley and Lord Deramores in York; to take part in this sustainability design competition. The children have been asked to get their creative hats on and to design a logo or a character that can be used to represent GMI's sustainability campaign going forward The winner will win tickets to watch the Sheffield United vs Oldham match at Bramall Lane on 3rd March 2012 in GMI's executive box as well as £250 for the winning school. The designs from the children are now in, judging has commenced this week and the winner will be announced on week commencing 20th February 2012. |
