Jarrod Best

Group Managing Director

Jarrod joined GMI in 1993 at the age of 16 as a trainee Estimator / Quantity Surveyor and progressed his career through the business departments, which finally saw him become Managing Director of the Construction Division in 2005.

Jarrod now holds responsibility for all Group business activities and firmly believes that in order to be the best in your class, you have to be focused on constantly creating improvement, innovation and,  most importantly,  the Client.

Andy Bruce

Managing Director

Andy Bruce has recently joined GMI Construction as Managing Director. Andy is responsible for the day to day management of our construction business.

He has held similar roles with a number of other leading construction companies before joining GMI. Andy brings a wealth of expertise to our business, with over 30 years of construction experience.

Nick Shepherd

Pre-Construction Director

Nick has over 20 years experience in construction, starting his career as a planner/design co-ordinator.  Nick joined GMI in 2010, and heads up our Pre Construction department, working closely with business development, estimating and construction teams to deliver value and innovation to our Client base.

David Shann

Group Financial Director

Prior to joining GMI in 2004 David spent 10 years in the financial sector working with clients from a wide range of industries including property development, retail, manufacturing, distribution, education, and entertainment.

David was appointed Finance Director and Company Secretary of GMI Construction in 2005.In 2011, David was recognised for his outstanding achievements as he was honoured with the title of Young Finance Director of the Year Award at the 2011 Yorkshire Finance Director Awards.

In 2010, David became Group Financial Director responsible for all Group Business activities.

Paul Whitaker

Commercial Director

Paul joined GMI as a trainee Quantity Surveyor and has worked for GMI Construction for over twenty years. Paul has gained extensive experience across all sectors of the industry.

He has a proven track record in delivering high value, complex projects and is committed to constant improvement and innovation to our Client service and committed to GMI Construction's high repeat business record.

Andrew Kemp

Construction Director

Andy has over 40 years experience. Andy, a co founder of GMI has been with the business for its entire existence and has helped mould the company into what it is today.

His vast construction knowledge and expertise has seen constant delivery expectation and beyond on all projects throughout GMI Construction’s existence.

Whether adding value or problem solving, Andy and his team have continued to improve our construction delivery service and this is why we have a 82% Client repeat business. We continue to deliver high standards in Health and Safety delivering ROSPA Gold for the third year running and taking our Considerate Constructors scores beyond national average standards.

Gary Peacock

Estimating Director

Gary has been with GMI Construction for over 25 years and has extensive experience of both public and private sectors with procurement routes including 2 stage tenders, traditional and design and build.

Gary is committed to delivering pro-active solutions to risk mitigation, value creation and problem solving.
