The Clay Cross redevelopment scheme triumphed in the regeneration category last night at the prestigious RICS Awards 2012 in the East Midlands region.

Phase 2 construction commences in Clay Cross
Construction on Phase 2 has officially started on site just off Bridge Street which will deliver an additional 9 retail units, a new doctors surgery, a pharmacy and completion of the public car park.
GMI launches UK's largest city centre solar pv system
Working with RPP, GMI Renewables have installed an innovative system at Clarence Dock for TCS. The system supplies around 15 per cent of the car park’s electricity and, at the same time, returns over 10 per cent on the investment cost. It will also save 55,000 kg in CO2 emissions a year.
GMI shortlisted in Building Awards 2012
GMI Construction Group has been successfully shortlisted as a finalist for Contractor of the Year (up to £300m) in the Building Awards 2012.
Celebration at new engineering centre
Kirklees College, Kirklees Council and GMI Construction have celebrated the completion of the highest point of construction at the college’s new Engineering Centre. Visitors from the college, council and contractors working on the building all attended the Topping Out ceremony to tour the building and unveil a special plaque.
